The VFW is having an essay contest! 

The theme is “What does the Pledge of Allegiance mean to me” 

The essays should be no longer than 200 words.  They can be typed or neatly handwritten. 

Due date:  Feb. 21.

SWIC is having a poetry contest! 

Rules.  You may submit ONE peom.  Give your peom a title.  Don't put your name on the poem.

We have been busy learning about the lives of some famous people in American History.

After reading about them, the students are writing a biography about that person telling about their early life, successes and acheivements, and many other interesting facts.
