Meeting the Senator

Students and parents from Gardner Elementary School in Waterloo traveled to the State Capitol on May 7, for a tour and to learn more about the functions of their state government. State Sen. Dave Luechtefeld (R-Okawville) greeted the students and discussed the law making process.

Sumdog Contest Results

We entered the "Sumdog" math contest this past week. 
It was a fun (and academic) way to end the year while we were in the computer lab finishing our memory books. 

The students really found the site fun and several went home to play more.

Overall we scored 111th out of 1,304 schools! :)
