Rally for Bulldog Improvement (RBI)

A goal is something big that you want to accomplish.  It is something important to YOU.  It might be learning something new, stopping bad habits, or getting better at doing something that is hard for you to do.  A goal is something that is not always easy to reach, but it can be accomplished by making a plan and following steps to reach it.
Ice Cream treats on Friday to kick off RBI this schoolyear

This week the fourth and fifth graders at Gardner Elementary will set two goals for yourself.  One of the goals should be related to school.  The second goal can be another school related goal or a personal goal.  After they write their goals, we will think of steps they can take to reach each one.  Remember that BIG goals may take awhile to accomplish, and may take several steps.

Miss Liefer will keep a copy of the goals.  We will review them periodically and keep track of how we are doing.

To earn RBI, we compare grade point averages.  We will add up your total percentage points for each subject and divide by four since there are four subjects.  In other words, the formula to earn RBI is
First Quarter Grades:

Literacy_____ + Math_____ + S. S._____ + Science_____ =

Total Percentage Points- First Quarter:________

If you raise your total percentage points by 1 point each quarter, you will be rewarded!  (“A” students need to maintain their “A” average).
Let's all Rally for Bulldog Improvement!  Let's get an RBI!
