A few quotes from famous African Americans...

"I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear." -Rosa Parks

"In recognizing the humanity of our fellow beings, we pay ourselves the highest tribute."  -Thurgood Marshall

"Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." -Harriet Tubman

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Movie & Milkshake Monday

I’m so proud of this class!  Thank you for having good behavior, and for supporting our school through the Boxtops and Papa Johns fundraisers!

We emptied our marble jar for the second time this schoolyear.
We voted on a movie to watch (Monsters Inc)

In addition, we’ve already earned the next Boxtop reward
level: milkshakes!
We ALSO were the top fundraising class for the most recent Papa John's Night.
So we got a pizza party!
